Emily Mottram

Principal, Mottram Architecture

Emily Mottram is an architect and principal of Mottram Architecture. She developed an interest in building science and sustainable design in college, where she was inspired to design healthy, durable and energy efficient homes that are also comfortable and beautiful. She is a building science educator, co-host on “The BS & Beer Show” (*BS = Building Science) and hosts a monthly podcast “E3 - Energy and Efficiency with Emily,” where she focuses on building science, architecture and female entrepreneurship.

Nikki Krueger

Director of Marketing & Buisness Development, Santa Fe Dehumidifiers 

Nikki Krueger is the Director of Marketing & Business Development for Therma-Stor’s residential indoor air quality brand - Santa Fe freestanding dehumidifiers and whole house ventilating dehumidifiers. She has been involved in the indoor air quality industry for over 20 years. She is a RESNET certified home energy rater, a member of the ACCA Manual Low Load Homes (LLH) Advisory Committee, sits on the building envelope committee for the Spray Polyurethane Foam Association, has completed the ACCA Residential Design for Quality Installation Certification, and recently served on the 2024 National Green Building Standard update committee. She educates builders, HVAC contractors, architects, engineers, crawl space contractors, and other professionals in the industry on the building science of ventilation and moisture control in buildings.

Alexis Minniti

Project Coordinator, Building Knowledge Canada 

Alexis Minniti is a Sustainability Specialist at Building Knowledge Canada, specializing in Building Science, with a passion for integrating sustainable practices into the construction industry. Alexis leads their carbon modeling work at Building Knowledge Canada using the MCE2 tool for embodied carbon analyses and has worked with various national builders to develop decarbonization pathways. She recently completed her Master’s degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Waterloo.

Justin Wilson 

Principal, Construction Instruction 

Justin Wilson works with national and regional builders on new construction of residential and commercials buildings and forensic investigations on building sites all over North America to find solutions to problems in the building processes that affect energy, comfort, and durability. He also uses this insight to work with leading building product manufacturers on new product development, product refinements, installation and maintenance guidelines.
